The principal idea of the WHELEN(ISH) is a minimal setup that allows an open.fire to be used near to the tarp for warmth and great views in the morning but still providing wind and rain protection beyond what a tarp normally provides.
The STANDARD Whelen(ish) gives roughly 3' x 6'6" floor cover (~0.9m x 2m) and comes with 12 tie outs and 4 panel pulls in 3mm riveted leather. All leather used is genuine vegetable tan and will patina / scratch up with age. Weigh is around 4.6kg in 8oz (message for lighter fabrics)
New tweaked design from me with larger shaped front flap neater reinforcements more making an even stronger and more stable tarp with better weather protection.Heavy duty waxed cotton canvas and leather construction meaning that the plastic sound of a nylon tarp in the wind and rain is avoided and instead you get a calming outdoor experience.
